To start a blog you will need to choose a blogging platform or a tool that will help you grow your traffic.
There are many blogging platforms available but my choice is Wordpress but if you're a beginner I will recommend to choose a Blogger. I highly recommended Wordpress If you have money to invest.
- It is free to use but you have a small investment in a domain and a hosting.
- Wordpress is easy to setup.
- It has been running for many years and this is robust and very secure system although you need to do up-to-date to maintain security.
- It has a broad industry of tools provider, designer, and web development, it will help you customize your blog to do many ways.
Keep in your mind that Wordpress provided two tools:
Wordpress.com: where they host your blog for free and give you access to use their own domain. It's free to start a blog but their many tools need to upgrade.
Wordpress.org: where you have complete access control and host your blog on your own web server, your own domain & have complete control how it looks, you can monetize it and make money your blog as you much. It is free to use but they need a domain and hosting.
Recommendation: My recommendation is going to wordpress.org you will have little work to set it up its has awesome features and tools that are free to use but they have tools to buy with money but you not need it.
Step 2: Choose a Domain Name & setup your Hosting
I highly recommended Bluehost for both domains and hosting because it serves very cheap web hosting and domain.
Starting your blog you will need a domain name for your blog address so that why you online your blog. here is domain example www.example.com you see all website OR blog need her own domain name.

SEO Perspective: Choosing a domain with good keywords that can help you rank your website because a domain has the power to rank a website.
Legal Perspective: domain is never copyright and trademark factors.
Niche Perspective: domain name represents your niche of the blog
Choose a domain and pay for this it will provide DNS settings of domain BUT you will pay some money for this domain per year.
